But they're fun, the cast of characters and especially animals around them was a joy, and I liked the scheming ex as a hurdle, too. On her way back from the bathroom, Rachel is grabbed by the gorgeous and famous actor, Miles Stevenson. The time has come for their 20th high school a 3. So, I'll stick with my 3 star rating. This 55,000 word novel was previously published. Aislin is a veterinarian from a large Irish family who works hard and plays hard. But where can you get together? Well, I had to be strong Could you prove me wrong? While they definitely hook up and have hot sex, it takes them until almost the end to be on the same page.
It is a simplistic read, but sometimes you just need something light and if you do this is it! Could you prove me wrong? All smoldering looks and tight silence. Very well written, loved the story line and the characters. Just enter your starting point and final destination with hotel as your point of interest. This story has a lot to like. Miles is a famous actor and he accidentally meets Rachel, a kindergarten teacher.
I love it when I'm right! Honestly, at one point I wanted to smack each of them. Kelly lives in Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains with her husband of 27 years, their two dogs, and a bird that hates her. Dale and Adam were best friends in high school and they hooked up after graduation and again after 10 years. Impulsive, emotionally charged Aislin was not her type. The gentleman thing to do right? He is in a restaurant waiting to meet his on screen love interest to discuss something when his eyes alight upon Rachel. Both men agree that they can try the friends with benefits thing but eventually it becomes too much for Dale. It might not be very believable, but who cares.
Unfortunately the difference between their lifestyles, Rachel a kindergarten teacher and Miles a famous actor, begin to cause Rachel to doubt th 4 ½ stars out of 5 Meet Me in the Middle was a fun, sexy story. Miles is a famous actor and Rachel is a kindergarten teacher. Will Miles and Rachel be able to form a real relationship? So - Dale is a f Ah - this is a sigh of relief. Until Adam calls and they make an attempt at being 'just friends'. Dale speaks to us a lot, his inner dialogue of emotional turmoil. So sweet in the way it happens, Adam reveals his feelings for Dale and asks him to give them a chance. Sometimes the road is far too long, but the path is shorter if you meet in the middle.
We also meet Miles Stevenson, he is a lead actor. Anticipation and dread are both strong emotions. The novella packed a punch. And sometimes what you love comes back, and comes back again, and then finally gives up and stops coming back before you realize what you had. So - Dale is a friend of above mentioned swoonworthy males, which means in my world he can't be to shabby either.
This book has it all: humor, frustration, passion, fear, distrust, anticipation and yes, love. And thanks to Alex who finally gave some speech to Dale, how to stand on his own feet and stop being a doormat for Adam. Other than that, it was good, characterizations were on, and the variation in voice performance never held any confusions over who was speaking, which I love. It is witty, romantic, and beautifully written. This is a very sweet with lots of sexiness and crazy ex moments.
This was yet another wonderful book from author Kelly Collins. I absolutely adored Rachel and Miles as a couple. Rachel Parks, a kindergarten teacher receives a gift certificate to a fancy upscale restaurant and decides to treat her best friend for a night out. It was all being fed to a growing fire. Rachel Parks alone at a highend restaurant after her friend had to bail on their night out.
One of the things I loved in The Closer You Get was that I, as the reader, could see things the narrator was oblivious to. What took you so long to come back around? Zane is a corporate attorney who comes from a very fractured but we Yvonne Heidt has lifted the bar with this one. She acts as his date and things take off from there. Now the 20-year-reunion is coming and Dale is hesitant to go. The dialogue is a little unnatural and formal at times, and problems seem to easily disappear in the face of goodness and the right decisions.
It's a whirlwind romance with some drama thrown in. When he resurfaces this time, single and on the verge of retiring from the Navy, he wants to mend fences with Dale. It isn't really clear for a long time if he actually is, but watching Adam eventually reconcile himself to his own feelings is a beautiful thing. The resolution at the end struck me as too facile. I thought he felt something for Dale then appeared indifferent and off-putting; as much a box practice target as Dale in my opinion.
She's a veterinarian, and her life is generally more-or-less chaos. Or should he be the one to walk away this time? Initially, I found some of those events comical and chuckled a time or two. This was a great book. Witt gives us more books in the series, maybe Owen? This book can be read as a standalone. It can be read as a stand alone, but equally it's a nice addition to the loveable characters of the previous books. I would recommend this to my friends. Could you prove me wrong? Jesus, just ask if you can join in! They made love when they were 18; it happened again when they were 28; and in the novel, they see each other again at their 20th high school reunion, and the question is whether or not this time, they can get it right.
